This Roeland Park, Kansas police officer used his head...and his heart. Mark Engravalle found Sarah Robinson and her six kids in deplorable shape after the staff at a Walmart store caught the homeless widow shoplifting for her children. So the officer bought her diapers, wipes and shoes out of his own wallet.
Engravalle wrote Robinson a ticket for stealing $300 worth of items. Engravalle said, “What she did was wrong, but I think her heart was in the right place with wanting to take care of her children.”
Robinson, who had found herself living in a car years after her husband drowned, expressed her gratitude in a tearful interview with the local TV station, “He did something that will never be forgotten,” Robinson said. “He helped us when nobody else will.”

The man, identified by the police as Stanley Fredrique, 34, did not come back. Instead, he left his daughter, who told detectives her name was Natalie, alone in the Subway.
She was later taken to the police station on by a female customer, The girl was released into the custody of the city’s Children Services.
A Drunken Mr. Fredrique, of Elmont, N.Y., was charged with reckless endangerment, abandonment of a child and acting in a manner injurious to a child.

Regarding the earlier incident, Matthew Apperson said he fired into Zimmerman's windshield because he pointed a gun at him. Apperson was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and firing into a car. Authorities said the shooting was unprovoked and did not charge Zimmerman.
In this latest episode, Prosecutors have asked for Apperson's bail to be revoked following the public, one-sided pissing contest with his neighbour. Apperson and the homeowner of the porch he used as a toilet have been involved in a long-running dispute.

Thomas Jennings, who suffered cuts above his eye, raised both hands in what appears to be a gesture of giving up.

“I didn’t ever know it was coming,” said Jennings of the punches that required five stitches to close the wound.
The Brooklyn District Attorney is investigating the use of force against Jennings in Bedford-Stuyvesant. The NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau is also reviewing a tape of the incident.
Jennings’ lawyer said there was no justification for the pummeling.
