NORTH CAROLINA LOTTERY WINNER SPENDS $9 MILLION TO BAIL CONVICT FIANCÉ OUT OF JAIL — TWICE
Lamar (Hot Sauce) McDow, accused of trafficking and intending to sell heroin, was released from a Brunswick County jail last week on $6 million bail.
While bondsmen do not have to release the name of who posted an inmate’s bail, McDow’s Powerball millionaire fiancĂ©e, Marie Holmes, likely footed the bill. Prosecutors said she bailed him out of jail once before, paying $3 million in March just weeks after she won the lottery. McDow, who has a long criminal history including assault and drug possession convictions, was arrested in November following a yearlong investigation into drug trafficking rings. He was charged with trafficking heroin and possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver heroin.
While holding a giant check at a Powerball press conference, Holmes told local media she wanted to use the cash to finish college and set up tuition funds for her four children.
It’s not clear if Holmes has spent any of the cash on her kids or her college education as she originally promised; however, consider this:
Marie Holmes took to Facebook to defend her spending habits.
“What Y’all need to be worried about is Y’all money and not how I spend mine this is benefitting Y’all how? And no he’s no drug dealer or user but who are Y’all to judge anybody? I will definitely pray for Y’all because it’s much need…they talked about Jesus so I’m not surprised Y’all are talking about me but be blessed though,” she posted on WWAY’s Facebook page.

CONNECTICUT COUPLE WITH LAVISH LIFESTYLE AND $2.2 MILLION MANSION DEBT SUDDENLY VANISH; FAMILY DENIES THAT FINANCES LED TO THEIR DISAPPEARANCE
An affluent Connecticut couple disappeared a week after losing an appeal over more than $2.2 million they owe in debt, according to court records.
Jeffrey, 56, and Jeanette Navin, 55, were reported missing by relatives on Aug. 7, three days after they were last seen near their home in Easton. The couple's car was found in a park-n-ride off Exit 42 of the Merritt Parkway in Westport on Aug. 9, police said.
The Navins could be on vacation because they travel often, The Easton Police told reporters. But they usually tell their relatives they're leaving. Authorities expected them to return home over the weekend. He said police did not suspect foul play in the disappearance of Jeffrey, who runs a sanitation company in Westport, and Jeanette, who works as a paraprofessional at Weston Intermediate School's library.
A week before their disappearance, a judge denied the Navins' second motion to appeal in a foreclosure case worth millions with HSBC Bank, USA. The bank filed the suit in 2007.

WILD CHILD: A 10-YR-OLD BROOKLYN BOY IS ACCUSED OF SETTING FIRE TO A LOCAL STORE, MUGGING AN ELDERLY WOMAN
When it comes to violent crime, this 10-year-old is without peer.
“He’s the worst kid in New York City, not just Brooklyn,” said a neighbour of the alleged adolescent arsonist accused of torching a local store. The arson was committed after he mugged a 67-year-old grandmother.

One day earlier, the tiny terror and a second 10-year-old were busted for bashing an elderly Brooklyn woman in her face during a brazen purse-snatching in broad daylight.
Violent gangs and street crews were responsible for 60 of the 161 murders, about 37%, during the first half of the year. They were also tied to 283 or about half of the 569 shootings that occurred over the same time period, police said.
“They have a total lack of consciousness of human dignity and human life and we are doing all we can to scoop them up,” Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said last month. We believe there will be more black police officers soon.

FAMILY REACTION:
The boy’s aunt echoed other relatives in defending the pee-wee perp, who’s the oldest of three kids. “He's a good kid, he's good in school, he's just hanging out with the wrong people that's doing the wrong things,” said Keisha Graham, 36. “We don’t care what they say about him, we know what kind of kid he is,” added Graham. “He didn’t do it. He told me another kid did it.”

A MICHIGAN WOMAN KEPT DISABLED SISTER LOCKED IN CLOSET FOR SEVEN YEARS WITH LITTLE FOOD AND WATER AND A BUCKET FOR URINATION
Candy Lawson, 44, was arrested after an anonymous tip-off led cops to her home, where they discovered her sister imprisoned with little clothing and only a bucket to urinate in.
Police visited her home on July 9 for a welfare check and found the 42-year-old sister, who has “cognitive and physical impairments,” locked in a closet suffering from malnourishment and dehydration.
Lawson kept her 42-year-old disabled sister locked in a closet in this home on Oliver Street in Corunna, Michigan, and diverted the sister's benefits for herself and her family. The 'embezzlement from a vulnerable adult' charge, involves public miss-use of benefits that should have gone to the 42-year-old sister, could lead to a five-year sentence.
